In the heart of the Medina, conveniently located simply a 100 metres away from the very famous Jemaa El Fna Square and marketplace, you will find our oasis of relaxation. Our luxurious and authentic riad under german management has recently been refurbished with the modern conveniences, whilst keeping key period features true to the neighbourhood it calls home, Zitoune. Let your senses be awakened and lead you into the old Marrakesh of 1,001 Nights. Riad Zitoune is a place of tranquil escape where one can rest before exploring one of the most exotic cities of Africa. Our riad was owned by a spice trader’s family and used as one of their trading houses. Inside and out the house has been furnished with love and great attention to detail to maintain its splendid authenticity, whilst the furniture is a mix of antique Arabic collectibles entwined into modern design. Precious fabrics, harmonious music of the setting and atmospheric accents created with light and decoration will leave you feeling revitalised from the beautiful interior and exterior of our house.

Culinary delicacies coupled with exceptional service complement the unique surroundings of the riad. You will enjoy a breakfast to the song of the birds in the morning on our comfortable rooftop terrace, after which you are invited to browse our library and get lost in a book whilst listening to the sounds of our water fountain on the patio. Or, at night you can lose yourself in a cup of delicious mint tea under a star-filled sky in our lounge corner on the rooftop terrace.

Available to all guests is  the library with selected literary works, WiFi in each guest room as well as in the communal areas, and iPads are available on request for guest usage. We also offer trips and tours around Marrakech, Spa treatments such as massages and Hammam in a close by traditional moroccon place as well as snacks, lunch, and dinner to accompany the experience.
